HANCHU ESS is now fully compatible with Intelligent Octopus Flux, allowing end-users to optimise energy usage and make the most of dynamic electricity pricing.

With this integration, HANCHU ESS batteries and inverters can automatically charge when electricity is cheapest and discharge when demand – and value – is highest. This allows customers to potentially reduce energy costs and support grid balancing without requiring technical expertise, with Octopus reporting some households earning up to £300 more per year than they pay for their electricity.

All setup and management is handled through the customer’s Octopus app, making the process straightforward for end-users.

Installer and Customer Requirements

• • Only MCS-certified installations are eligible for Intelligent Flux.
  • Batteries and inverters must be online before switching to Flux.
  • Customers must have an MPAN to export energy. Those without one can apply to join the Octopus SEG; Octopus will obtain the MPAN on their behalf.

HANCHU ESS systems compatible with Intelligent Octopus Flux require a solar with battery installation to operate.
