The HANCHU Service Centre includes a dedicated laser welding workstation, used to support specialist repair work on battery casings.

This workstation uses a state-of-the-art laser welder to carry out precise casing repairs where required, supporting a more controlled and technically consistent repair process.

For installers and customers, this demonstrates the level of repair infrastructure being developed around HANCHU ESS in the UK.

Inspection Station
 

Welding Inspection and Surface Preparation

Alongside the welding workstation is a dedicated welding inspection station, used to assess weld quality after repair work has been completed.

Before inspection, the weld can be polished and cleaned using the polishing machine, helping prepare the surface for a more accurate technical assessment.

Technical focus: the microscope inspection equipment can assess weld penetration depth up to 0.8mm, allowing technicians to review the quality and consistency of the weld in detail.
